Even more QoL improvements.
It's me! Back again!
Let's cut to the chase, here is what I did for this update:
- Fixed diagonal dash transfer speed calculation.
- Fixed leaf particle speed reduction when playing in slow motion.
- Fixed a dialogue being at the bottom.
- Made the controls part of the options menu scrollable so I can fit more things there in case I need to.
- Implemented new control actions for the rhythm mini game so they can be set separately and can be more comfortable for controllers.
- Implemented command list option in the pause menu so people refresh their memories about the moveset of the game, in case they forget parts of the tutorial, which will probably happen a lot.
Apart from that, I also implemented a version of the tileset with collisions so I can prototype challenge rooms easier, which will hopefully accelerate their development a bit.
Next on the menu it's gonna be creating 20 new challenge rooms to replace the ones in the demo and give a better learning curve, since right now the game is pretty hard.
I won't be deleting the current challenge rooms of course, they will just be used later in the game.
Before I go, I need to say that since the new tutorial was added, the save files became incompatible because the position of the checkpoint in the tutorial zone changed, this means that you have to create a new file, or you can also edit your old file, which you can find in godot's appdata folder, and either delete the checkpoint data from the save file, and then reactivating it, or changing the checkpoint coordinates manually, but you would need to know the new coordinates for that.
