A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

I've been trying to contact someone out there, if someone can hear me, please answer me and connect to my core.

Won't you accept my call? Won't you enter a new world?

Wishbind is an exploration based 2D platformer collect-a-thon in which you'll have to explore a vast world to gather a special kind of leaf essence while interacting with interesting characters and discovering many secrets throughout the land.

The demo was made in Godot solely by me, except for a couple of amazing songs which were composed by my very good friend Armaggedun, who also gave me counseling with some of the songs I made myself. You should go and give them a follow and also check their full original album here!

I hope you can enjoy this little demo, I've poured my heart and soul into it, so it would mean a lot to me if you could try it out and share it with friends or people you think would enjoy it.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Features:

  • Explore a handcrafted world in search of a special kind of leaves in a non-linear way!
  • Use a wide array of available moves to overcome platforming challenges for different rewards!
  • Follow the story of interesting characters and help them along your way!
  • Find unlockable colors for your character!
  • Enter photo mode to take screenshots of your gameplay at almost any time!
  • Search every last corner of the map to find hidden secrets and easter eggs!
  • Enjoy the game either in english, or spanish!

Controls:

The game supports keyboard and controllers, at least the ones tested, and you can change the controls in the options menu of the game, but in case you need them, the default controls (assuming an x-box controller) are:

  • WASD/D-pad - Up, left, down, right
  • J/A-button - Accept/Jump
  • K/B-Button - Cancel/Dash
  • L/R-Button - Interact
  • I/X-Button - Pogo
  • U/Select-Button - Status menu
  • Escape/Start-Button - Pause
  • P/Left Trigger - Photo mode

Hardware specs.:

I imagine pretty much anything slightly modern or not that modern can run it, since it's just a simple 2D game with a relatively low resolution. But the lowest spec computer I was able to test the game in was a thinkpad x230 and it ran smoothly, if you have one with lower specs than that and are able to run the game, please let me know to update this information.

Info and future:

The demo covers the first area of the game, and the playtime will vary depending on how much you explore or how difficult you find the challenges, but from my experience, I think a single playthrough will take between one and two hours.

The linux version has been tested in linux mint, I'm not sure if it will work in other distributions, but if it doesn't work in yours, please contact me and I'll see if I can fix it.

As for the future of the game, I'm out of funds, so I'll try to work on it at the same time I search for/work a full time job.

In any case, if you want to support me you can share the game with friends, make videos, streams, etc.
